Comfortable stay in St Ives Positive: Very clean and comfortable

I visit St Ives for work about three or four times a year. I've stayed at The Nook on numerous occasions and it's always been a pleasant experience. It's ideally situated for me as it's just a short walk down into town (seems somewhat longer on the walk back up!). The room is always spotless, as is the communal kitchen. There is parking available at The Nook, which can be a problem in St Ives, especially in the summer months.

Aufenthalt okay, aber beim nächsten Mal lieber woanders Positive: Nettes kleines Zimmer sogar mit teilweise Meerblick zu einem guten Preis. Negative: Ziemlich abseits vom Zentrum und auf dem Berg gelegen. Ausstattung mit den üblichen Dingen wie Tee, Kaffee und Milch sehr dürftig. Zimmer sehr hellhörig. Die Heizung in meinem Zimmer funktionierte nicht; es wurde zwar versprochen, dass dies so schnell wie möglich repariert wird. Tatsächlich kam aber niemand. Insgesamt ist auch niemand vor Ort, der helfen könnte. Alles läuft über Self Service, was zur Folge hat, dass bei Problemen niemand da ist. Kommunikation über E-Mail funktioniert zwar, aber die Antworten haben in meinem Fall nicht weitergeholfen.

I was very happy with the accommodation and the facilities. The location did involve a steep climb. Positive: I brought my own breakfast as it wasn’t clear what was provided and what belonged to others. The location wasn’t clarified in advance and did involve a steep climb from the old town. Negative: More precise advance information about the location of The Nook as there is another property with the same name.

It was clean and comfortable for our two night stay. Positive: The Rooms were very clean. We only used it as a base for a Wedding we were attending so didn't use the shared kitchen/garden. Negative: Our room was very small but since was only used to sleep in and shower etc, it was not a problem
