Positive: Have stayed here several times. Perfect location for town. Spotlessly clean well set out rooms. Nice and quiet and parking. Negative: Nothing

Clean room in a reasonable location Positive: The Nook is in a reasonable location - a 10 minute downhill walk to the sea; a longer slog uphill to get back at the end of the day. Our room had a view over the roofs to the sea. We didn't use the communal kitchen but it seemed well equipped, clean and new. The en suite WC and shower was clean Negative: We visited in August 2025 when paintwork was still new and general décor was very good, but the conversion has been done to maximisse income and minimise costs: minimal room sizes,lightweight wall construction so some noise from neighbours, and incredibly tight parking where a thoughtlessly located 4x4 can keep you in (or out) for hours.

Room 10 at The Nook was clean, pleasant and totally adequate for my needs. There was one small omission - no socket in the bathroom for charging electric toothbrushes. In the event, my charge was sufficient for the week, so the problem went away. The well-equipped, shared kitchen enabled us to meet fellow guests and exchange views from around the world. The only slight problem was the behaviour of some guests, who took cutlery to their rooms and reduced the supply of forks to 2 on one evening (inadequate for the 4 people dining at the same time) and no thanks to those who presumably helped themselves to our remaining olive bread, which we were planning to eat on our final evening. Maybe one should label one’s provisions. Shared does not necessarily mean the same as communal.
